Terms and Conditions

Visa Alert Services Terms and Conditions

This Agreement is an addendum that supplements the terms of your Cardholder Agreement with Sunset Science Park Federal Credit Union for each Visa credit card or Visa Debit card that you register for this service.

Program. Sunset Science Park Federal Credit Union provides e-Alert services as a convenience to our members. E-Alerts are sent only to the designated email addresses or cell phone numbers that you specify upon enrolling in the service. You may receive e-Alerts via a computer, through most personal email addresses, and cellular phones that accept text messaging.

The email addresses or cell phone numbers you specify may be changed at any time by accessing the e-Alerts feature at www.sspfcu.com. These email addresses and cell phone numbers will not be updated if submitting a change of address on your account. If your email addresses or cell phone numbers should change, it is your responsibility to update the information as soon as possible at www.sspfcu.com.

Sunset Credit Union will not send e-Alerts whether by cell phone, text message or email that ask you to provide, update, or confirm sensitive data such as your Account Number, Username, Password, PIN, SSN, ATM/Debit Card Number, Credit Card Number or Expiration Date.

Fees. Sunset Credit Union does not charge for use of the services available as of the date you agree to these terms and conditions. Members may be charged by their service providers for providing the text messaging or email service.

Availability/Interruption. Due to various issues that can arise (internet outages, cell phone service outages, incorrectly set up email accounts, spam filters, etc.), Sunset Credit Union does not guarantee the delivery of your e-Alerts. Though Sunset Credit Union may attempt to notify you of problems in delivering your alerts, you acknowledge that Sunset Credit Union is not liable for misdirected, returned, or undeliverable messages as a result of the following circumstances including but not limited to: (1) Incorrect or invalid email addresses or cell phone numbers; (2) Canceled or inactive email or cell accounts; (3) Lack of Internet or cell phone service provider; (4) Factors outside of Sunset Credit Union's control. Do not reply directly to the e-Alerts notifications that you receive.

Termination of Participation. To opt-out of the Service at any time, login to Sunset Credit Union's home banking website, www.sspfcu.com and follow the directions provided to discontinue receiving Transaction Alerts. You will have the choice of opting out of this Service in its entirety or changing your Transaction Alerts settings, including, but not limited to, the media through which you are sent Transaction Alerts.

Modification of Service. Sunset Credit union reserves the right, at any time, with or without cause or prior notice, to temporarily or permanently interrupt, restrict, modify, suspend or discontinue this Service. You agree that Sunset Credit Union shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any interruption or discontinuation of the Service.

Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sunset Credit Union from any loss, liability, claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, suffered or made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Service in violation of this Agreement and/or arising from a breach of the Agreement and/or any breach of your representations and warranties set forth herein.
